For those of us that are looking for a gift that’s sustainable (and just as cuddly) then the brand new baby animals range from Posh Paws’ BBC Earth collection promises just that. The new animal additions to the growing collection include: a penguin chick, giraffe calf, husky puppy, seal pup, hippo calf and snow leopard cub.
This summer’s new range of adorably soft plush baby animals are the first collection to have the stuffing made from 100% post-consumer waste, recycled plastic bottles – nine plastic bottles in fact!
Posh Paws have also reduced the amount of packaging used on their entire BBC Earth collection. All that remains are the essential hangtags that are now made from 100% recycled craft paper, using soy-based inks and string fastenings.
This sustainable production process will be rolled out across all their existing BBC Planet Earth II and Blue Planet II toys, demonstrating a commitment to the environment and creating a sustainable future for their plush range.
And finally, it’s important to remember that a soft toy is not the “fast fashion” of the toy market. Each plush toy comes with a “Love me for life, I am built to last”, message. Highlighting that a soft toy like this is not a throwaway purchase and encouraging you to keep them treasured forever or pass them on to someone else who will care for them just as much.
