#gifted – We whisked Dawn from ‘Dear Mummy Blog’ and her family off to Thorpe Park to try out its latest attraction BounceZilla. Keep reading to see if the family of three were bouncing mad for BounceZilla at the end of the day…
Thorpe Park has introduced a crazy looking inflatable obstacle course called BounceZilla that looks like something you’d see on 50/50 (who else remembers that game show?). At 90 meters long, BounceZilla is humongous for little people like Bella (Dawn’s daughter) and is the perfect place to let off some steam and have a giggle.

It’s very Takeshi Castle like as you clamber past inflatable obstacles, tumble through tunnels and squeeze your way through tiny spaces and slide to the finish. Dawn says: “It’s a great form of exercise and good for building up an appetite.”
BounceZilla is super colourful and its massive monster face entrance is certainly imposing, but the friendly members of staff are always on hand to help you get around and warm up before you begin. Plus, you can take your cameras on with you to capture all the fun!
They have a family and accessible time each morning between 10am and 12pm for families with younger children aged 6-13 and for those who want to experience it at a slower pace. Dawn says: “This was a great session for us and it wasn’t busy.”
Dawn recommends that you bring an extra pair socks for the bounce though as when the family of three went on it was slightly wet as it had rained the night before. Dawn says: “It’s not all weather. We’d like to see it under a marquee for extra bounce time. It would make a great Halloween attraction for a spooky bounce or at Easter time for a Spring Hop.”

If you want to give BounceZilla a go, you’ll have to HOP TO IT as it’s not a permanent fixture at Thorpe Park. BounceZilla will be leaving the theme park this Sunday, but the real question is how many times round do you think you can you manage?! You’ve got three to beat as set by Dawn and her family! Dawn says: “It was brutal in places, so take your time – unless you are racing your friends! We were really out of puff at the end!”

Thorpe Park has plenty of food outlets, locker space and rides for both adults and children alike including: Depth Charge, Flying Fish, King Pig’s Wild Hog Dodgems and Derren Brown’s Ghost Train! For thrill seekers, there are terrifying, hair raising attractions like Saw The Ride, Nemesis, Colossus, Stealth and The Swarm.
Speaking of terrifying, Thorpe Park is kicking off its annual Fright Nights from 28th September and is not to be missed by families with teenagers this October half-term and Halloween.
