Looking for things to do this October half-term? Here are some fantastic activities to keep the family entertained over the school holidays.

Pumpkin Picking

With the month of October best known for the spookiest season of the year, why not take the family pumpkin picking to get everyone into the spirit of things? You’ll be showing your support for local businesses, you’ll be getting some fresh air, plus you’ll be able to pick the best pumpkin EVER! Visit your local National Trust Site

The National Trust has heaps of great family activities planned for the October half-term. There are wildlife trails waiting to be followed, historical stories to be discovered, and plenty of opportunities to get creative with natural materials! Visit a Creepy Castle!

There are so many spooky castles waiting to be visited across the UK, thanks to English Heritage! Visit Kent Life Heritage Farm Park for their Halloween Spooktacular!

Between 23-31 October, families are invited to come along and join in with the Halloween events as Kent Life is transformed for the spooky season. There’s pumpkin carving, creepy corner, spooky tractor rides and daily fancy dress competitions. Are you brave enough to come along and trick or treat in our historic houses? Ghost Raiders at the Tower of London

Ready for a spooky day out in London? Head to the Tower of London to solve an eerie mystery! Spirits have been inadvertently released and are roaming free around the castle! But don’t panic, the Ghost Raiders are on hand to help! They need you to crack clues, solve puzzles and find treasure as you investigate the spooky happenings to solve the special Halloween mystery and save the day – all whilst getting to explore this incredible location.
