As daylight shortens and the temperature drops, there’s nothing cosier than kicking up your feet and diving into the latest TV series or drama. Whether you’re into comedy or sci-fi, our mums have selected the top watches for you this winter!
The Walking Dead:
What better way to spend a winter evening snuggled up on the sofa to a load of gruesome zombie action! Whilst we don’t advise that your little ones stay up with you and watch this, we definitely recommend checking out this post-apocalyptic TV horror series! With Season 9 just starting, now is the perfect time for you to dive into the changing and challenging environments and obstacles each character face. The Walking Dead is guaranteed to have you clenching at your seats!

Doctor Who:
Whether you’re a super fan, casual viewer or have never even seen an episode. With the launch of series 11, join Whittaker, the first female Doctor, on her sci-fi intergalactic adventure! Who doesn’t love a bit of girl power? The launch of the new series is guaranteed to give you and your little ones a bit of Sunday satisfaction! Us mums can’t help but agree that Doctor Who truly this is the perfect winter TV watch for the whole family so go grab a big bag of popcorn and tuck in!
X Factor:
It’s a yes from me! There’s nothing catchier than that X Factor theme tune… you know the one (if I’ve now got it stuck in your head, good!). Who doesn’t love a little bit of friendly (although sometimes not so friendly) competition? Besides making us mums wish we could sing, the X Factor is also a fantastic show that will get all the family talking.
I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
Oh yes! Moving over to ITV now with the ever-so cringe worthy I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! You have to agree, there’s just something so gripping about watching celebs take part in grizzly challenges, whether it be eating Kangaroo parts (you know the ones) or sky diving out of a helicopter, this show is great! Who knows, why not create your own freaky bush tucker trials in your living room? Although, we wouldn’t recommend eating insects…gross!
Black Earth Rising:
If you’re looking to start watching a new series or drama, why not check out Black Earth rising? Courtesy of BBC Two, this new emotional drama is perfect for putting you on the edge of your seat as you follow Kate Ashby on her journey as she tries to escape the tragic shadow of her past. Who knows, this jaw-dropping drama could be your new favourite watch!
