With Christmas just two weeks away, many of us (guilty as charged) have left our Christmas shopping late again, panicking and impulse buying. To help you with your last-minute shopping, we’ve pulled together some helpful tips…You can thank us later.

Set a budget
Whether you’re shopping online or are hitting the high street, decide on how much you want to spend on each person and once you’ve hit that limit, don’t be tempted to buy anymore. It’s also important that you know where to draw the line with who you are buying for. Not only will budgeting help you to select what gifts to buy, but it will help to save you money.

Plan, plan, plan
As we all know, failing to plan is planning to fail. To make your hectic last-minute shopping that little bit easier, make sure you know who you are buying for, what you are buying them and where you are buying the gifts from. That way you know exactly what you need to buy and don’t have to spend hours aimlessly strolling up and down every aisle trying to find the perfect present, saving you time and money. HELPFUL POINTS: Make a note on your phone or take a list of the presents that you need to buy so that you can face the shops and crowds head on.

Be a savvy shopper
Year on year retailers offer deals and discounts on a range of gifts, making now the perfect time to buy those last-minute Christmas presents and treat yourself on those 3 for 2 offers. HELPFUL POINTS: Be sure to set out bright and early to snap those deals up!

Buy vouchers
Vouchers are so underrated! Whether the recipient is a makeup lover, foodie or simply just loves clothes, vouchers cover a wide spectrum of interests. Vouchers are easy to buy and are available in a range of supermarkets, so you will be able to pick up one while you’re getting those last-minute nibbles, plus, who wouldn’t love to receive a voucher to spend in the Boxing Day sales?

Try shopping somewhere new
You’re not the only one who’s going to be rushing around for presents, so to avoid the mayhem and the flocks of shoppers, avoid the high street and head to local independent shops, boutiques and charity shops. Not only will these type of shops be much quieter, but you can find some stunning hidden gems in there that make for unique gifts.

Re-gift
Remember that scarf your Aunt got you last year? You know, the one you never wore and hated as soon as you saw it, but made that awkward smile and said, “I love it!” Come on, we’ve all received presents that we don’t like, so why not give them to someone that will like it? Whether it’s makeup, smellies or a handbag, re-gifting is efficient and will save you money, plus you won’t have to battle the crowds in the cold!
