Can you believe that it’s almost October half term already!? It feels like the kids have only just gone back to school and we have another week of family fun to look forward to. If you’re not planning to go away then fear not, we have scouted the country to find some fun things to do with a Halloween theme!
Cornwall
Camel Creek Adventure Park – 19th October –31st October – A whole host of special Halloween events will be taking place at Camel Creek, from haunted train rides around the park, to a visit to the Apple Jack Pumpkin Patch, where you can claim a free pumpkin to carve into a ghoulish Halloween lantern to take home.
The Headland Hotel in Newquay – 21st October and 3rd November – This spooky hotel’s younger guests can enjoy broomstick riding, black cat hunting, spooky storytelling and pumpkin decorating, with older guests being well-catered for with a range of blood-curdling coffees, spooky cocktails and a witches afternoon tea! The hotel will also host regular screenings of the original Witches film – perfect for nostalgic adults wanting to re-live The Witches experience in the hotel in which it was made.

Audley End Miniature Railway – 25th October – 3rd November – Join in the frighteningly fun Halloween spooktacular at the Audley End Miniature Railway! Your little devils will be given a trick or treat bag on entry before boarding the haunted Halloween express. The Halloween entertainment continues at the activity area where children can create a creepy craft and test out their thriller dance moves before listening to a spooky tale.

Halloween fun day at Traquair House – 27th October – Join the team at Traquair for this daylong event (11am – 4pm) for plenty of scares and fun and games this October half term. Activities include magic shows, tarot readings, spooky face painting, ghost stories in the woods and more!
