Hand’s up who’s excited to be able to have guests round? Here at UKMums.tv we certainly are… but our guest rooms need a little TLC to be as ready as us!
We’ve put together a quick and easy guide to giving your spare room a glow up and making it the perfect overnight stop for friends and family.
1. The bed
It’s important that your guest bed is inviting and comfy! White bedding is best (in our opinion) and its best to make sure you have perfectly plum pillows. But you’ll also need a throw and some cushions to get that hotel vibe! We LOVE this Chamonix Throw in stone from Dusk as the colour will work in almost any room and its so soft and cosy!
2. Storage
Let’s face it, you guests are unlikely to use any wardrobes in your spare room, But a purposefully places garment rail (and spare hangers) Is a nice touch so that your guest have somewhere to hand their clothes at night. This rail from Addis is both space and bank account friendly!
3. Finishing touches
Every guest room needs to make visitors feel welcome we love the following items to make a guest room both functional and pretty!
- Tissues – a nice touch to any guest room or bathroom. But why not take it one step further and try these Tishoo boxes which look very pretty on a bedside table!
- Bin – quite simply a must for a guest room or a bathroom. These gorgeous bins from Crackpots are the perfect way to make a bin fit your rooms aesthetic, plus they have lots of other matching items great for bedrooms!
- Artwork – wall art is a great way to make a spare room feel more homely, and these pressed flower frames from Coultura are simply stunning and perfect for a neutral country room.
