2019 has been a corker of a year for films – and it looks like that is set to continue. We’ve already had Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel and Joker as well as Disney’s live action remakes including Aladdin and Dumbo. So what does 2020 have in store for us? We’ve taken a look on IMDb to see what’s coming to the big screen in the New Year, so take a look and see what takes your fancy.

Dolittleexpected on 7th February

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
– expected on 7th February
Margot Robbie (aka our Woman Crush) is back as the one, the only, the infamous Harley Quinn.
IMDb says: “After splitting with the Joker, Harley Quinn joins superheroes Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to save a young girl from an evil crime lord.” Girl power YAAS.


Sonic the Hedgehog
set to hit cinemas on Valentine’s Day
IMDb says: “A cop in the rural town of Green Hills will help Sonic escape from the government who is looking to capture him.”

Mulan – expected on 27th March
Here’s another live-action feature film based on Disney’s ‘Mulan’ to look forward to, starring Yifei Liu as Mulan, Donnie Yen as Commander Tung and Jet Li as The Emperor.
IMDb says: “A young Chinese maiden disguises herself as a male warrior in order to save her father.”

No Time to Die – expected on 2nd April
Daniel Craig is back as Bond for No Time to Die.
IMDb says: “Bond has left active service. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

Scoob! – expected on 15th May
IMDb says: “Scooby and the gang face their most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world. As they race to stop this dogpocalypse, the gang discovers that Scooby has an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.
Starring: Zac Efron and Mark Wahlberg.

Wonder Woman 1984 – expected on 5th June
Wonder Woman 1984 is a sequel to the 2017 superhero film ‘Wonder Wonder’ and stars Pedro Pascal, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine.


Eternals
– expected on 6th November
IMDb says: “The saga of the Eternals, a race of immortal beings who lived on Earth and shaped its history and civilizations.”
Starring: Gemma Chan, Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden and Kit Harington (swoons).

Godzilla vs. Kong – expected on 20th November
IMDb says: “As the gigantic Kong meets the unstoppable Godzilla, the world watches to see which one of them will become King of the Monsters.”
