This week, we’re joined by the team at Flair for a terrific takeover that brings to the fore their Disney Junior Mickey Mouse toy collection! Full of farm-themed fun, these are toys that will delight young children! Be sure the check out our favourites in the range here.

But these farmyard vibes got us to thinking… what is it about the farm that’s so appealing to young minds? And, after a bit of thought and careful consideration, we came to realise that there’s no one single answer – there are so many reasons! Here are just a few:

New is exciting!

Children are still discovering the world around them, so anything unfamiliar is just something else to be explored! And there is SO MUCH to be explored when it comes to the farm… new animals, new vehicles, new spaces, sounds and more. It’s like a super-charged playground, full of fun, for little ones!

Cute animals

What child wouldn’t love getting to spend time with lots of cute animals? And farms are often full of them! We remember going to our first farm as a child, getting to meet and hold all the baby animals. From chickens to pigs to cow, all the way through to horses and more, there are loads of wonderful animals for children to meet on the farm.

Different noises

Even as adults animal sounds can be entertaining, so imagine hearing animal noises for the first time! Weird and wonderful – it’s so much fun learning to match the animal with its funny animal sound.

Big fun awaits you at North Devon’s top family attraction! Young children will love the thrilling rides, going on adventures across the park, seeing the animals up close, experiencing hilarious live shows, events and more.

Kentish Town City Farm

Find out more here: https://ktcityfarm.org.uk/

The reason why we love this particular farm is because for kids who live in the city, farms and everything that exists within them can remain completely unknown – but city-based farms DO exist, meaning that families can escape the business of urban life, without travelling too far from home. Kentish Town City Farm is the UK’s 1st City Farm, founded in 1972. It’s actually a charity based in the London Borough of Camden, which offers lifelong learning, outdoor therapy, as well as education to children.

The Minnie and Mickey toy collection is available now from Smyths Toys Superstore, Amazon, Argos, Very, and many independent toy stores.
