The late May bank holiday is coming up, but we wouldn’t blame you if you’d forgotten as every day feels the same when you’re not at work, don’t they? It takes a lot to keep the kids entertained at the best of times, so with a long weekend coming up, we want to tell you all about the Play At Home Fest as we think it’s something you and the little ones will really enjoy!

Taking place over the spring bank holiday weekend (23rd – 24th May), the free Play At Home Fest is the long weekend lockdown alternative to all those cancelled outdoor plans, with the aim to bring family festival fun to the comfort of your own home (or garden!) while we can’t enjoy the usual bank holiday activities.

Organised by child psychologist Dr.Amanda Gummer, the weekend of events will bring together stars from across comedy, toys, TV and children’s entertainment, all of which can be enjoyed across the Good Play Guide’s social media channels.

Children will be able to take part in Morph model making workshops, arts & craft activities, science experiments, music, comedy and more as part of the fun-filled weekend that guarantees smiles for all the family.

The free family-friendly virtual festival promises to be an upbeat celebration for all, with two action-packed days designed to nurture children’s imagination, creativity and connectivity.

Dr. Amanda Gummer, founder of Good Play Guide, the team behind the Play at Home Fest, said, “…It is so important during this time to understand that we can thrive and not just survive, and we encourage everyone to join in and embrace the fun as we raise money for the National Emergencies Trust Coronavirus Appeal.”

You can register your interest for this free event via the Good Play Guide’s Facebook page.
