Do you ever stumble across a national day that feels like it was made for you? Well National Prosecco Day feels like just that for many of us here in the UKMums.TV office!

13th August is the day to put in your diary (to be honest stick the whole week in!) and we’ve found some ways you can pimp up your prosecco in celebration.

For each recipe simply mix all the listed ingredients in a glass and enjoy… Plus, you can find even more inspiration here!

Aperol Mimosa courtesy of Olive Magazine – a twist on the classic buck’s fizz!

What you need:

  • 20ml Aperol
  • 20ml orange juice
  • Champagne, prosecco or other sparkling wine to top up

Sour Apple via BBC Good Food – a little bit sweet and a little bit tangy!

What you need:

  • 40ml apple juice
  • 20ml vodka
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • 75ml prosecco
  • Fresh apple and ice to garnish

Peach Prosecco Punch – thanks to Table for Two blog for this fruity recipe!

What you need:

  • Handful of crushed fresh raspberries
  • 50ml peach puree
  • 75ml prosecco

Trying to reduce your carbon footprint? Here are some great English sparkling wines if you’d prefer to keep your tipple local!

Oastbrook Sparkling Rose – add a touch of PINK to your National Prosecco Day celebrations! This sparkling wine pairs perfectly with fresh berries and afternoon tea!

Tesco Finest English sparkling – a more affordable bottle that has notes of apple and citrus, perfect with an elderflower syrup or on its own.

Fortnum and Mason Camel Valley Sparkling – crisp and vibrant and full of bubbles!

Which of these cocktails do you fancy trying? Tag us in your prosecco pictures on social media @UKMumstv – cheers!
